Why?

You better be safe than sorry! Here are some things you have to double-check!

⦿ Fonts Keep it simple and professional! A few traditional resume fonts to consider using are Helvetica, Garamond, or Georgia. Avoid script fonts or custom fonts. Don’t use a font size below 10.

⦿ Grammar: Tense and Pronouns. Use past tense when talking about jobs in the past, and present tense when describing your current work.

⦿ Use Action Words! Begin each bullet point on your resume with an action verb and replace generic verbs like “managed” or “led” with more engaging words like “mentored” or “accelerated.” Action words liven up your resume.

Thomas Frank has an example of a situation that he went through due to overlooking grammar. Watch the video from 2:42 to 3:45 and get his tips. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9tdyZWbGWO0&ab_channel=ThomasFrank
