Because customer service is in daily contact with the company's essential demographic - the customers - they can provide valuable perspectives and meaningful information in meetings and brainstorming sessions. Information obtained from customers is crucial because it represents the detached perspective of an outsider, one that someone within the company may not have considered. By keeping customer service in touch with all the other departments in your company, it's possible to improve or fix assumed problems they may have. For instance, they can inform the IT department about what customers think of the technology offered or any web bugs. Customer service representatives should be in charge of reporting any recurring pattern or problem and customers' feelings towards certain services or products to enhance the other department's performance and delivery.
