Why?
These are the essential skills to start as a security guard — a good background, good shape, good communication skills, good conduct. Security guards stand on their feet for hours and interact with the public, so they are also in the customer service business. They represent the company to the customer. Consequently, investing some time in training might be necessary in case you want to cash in on the security guard field. Those who hold a license are more likely to be hired and even secure a higher-paying position, as the training process covers topics such as the role of a security officer, communication, emergencies, powers to arrest, weapons of mass destruction, and others.
Last but not least, watch Randy Huscher’s advice on the critical skill set for a security guard. You can watch the video from the start to 3:23.
