Why?
First things first, a leader is essential in every team we may know. Such as in sports as in companies. Every group needs a leader to guide and help. In other words, they may need a coach. The sales manager needs to give the best support, share their knowledge and vision, and contribute to the members' ownership of their vision. As a great coach, you may focus on "what" (vision and objectives) and leave the "how" (tactics and implementation) to your sales team.
The sales manager is also in charge of rewarding the team when they achieve objectives and help them find a solution to every challenge. To get it, the sales manager must set the goals clearly.
