For this experiment you will need: sugar, water, a clothespin, a pot to boil in, a glass jar, food colouring, and some wooden sticks.

Gather these materials. The glass jar should be a bit tall, like a tall mason jar. For the wooden sticks, you can use skewer sticks that you'd get from a grocery store.
