There are no bad emotions, and all feelings must be valued and felt. Raising your EQ means picking the right time and place to healthily express your feelings and explore your emotions for better understanding them. Here are a few tips to help you through this process: ✓Correctly identify your emotions: identify your feelings and which occasions and thoughts are linked to them. ✓Feel your feelings: one thing is identifying you’re sad. Another is allowing yourself to feel sad and even cry. The same goes for happy feelings: busy leaders often don’t allow themselves to experience joy in their daily lives, which leads to stress, anxiety, and resentment. Emotional intelligent leaders take time to feel their emotions. ✓Express your feelings: identify the source of your emotions to avoid being unfair and rude to a co-worker when, in fact, you are angry because of the heavy traffic on the way to work.
