Why?
Try to solve the situation as quickly as possible. By doing so, you will have some benefits such as:
• First, you will turn a negative situation into a positive one. You can still make the customer loyal, buying regularly and even bringing some friends, who’ll become future customers.
• Second, you will prevent the situation from escalating beyond what is necessary. Imagine that the customer can raise their voice, and everything will become embarrassing.
If necessary and possible, compensate the client for the discomfort. If the mistake was yours or the company’s, bringing something else to the solution can be a positive attitude. You can offer something like:
- a discount coupon;
- something for free;
- the replacement of the product.
These options will relieve the damage, and the customer will be able to leave content, feeling that they have had no losses and have been compensated.
