Why?

When you set up your work schedule, make sure you also set up some breaks along your working hours. That's it, break up your day! Get up from your desk during those breaks. Get some fresh air, eat something healthy, talk with another person if possible. Different activities during the breaks allow you to reset and refresh your ideas. In 2011, a study found that people who took two short breaks stayed consistently productive when given a particular task to complete. Still, the group of people who did not take the breaks "performance declined significantly. When it comes to how much time you should spend on a break, the most productive workers were the ones who worked for around 50 minutes and took a 15-20 minute break. If you're not used to taking breaks, that's an excellent way to start with it.
