Why?

Communication is always important! Then again, delegating is not fire and forget. As long as you are not micromanaging, which means, you are not controlling the steps the employee is taking to do the tasks (remember allowing them some freedom and autonomy will help them learn) you have to be available to give support and feedback when and where needed. Here is what you have to do: ➜ Set milestones. ➜ Set regular check-ins. ➜ Provide feedback when possible. ➜ Be open to answering questions without taking over the task.
Dave Stachowiak from Coaching for Leaders mentions the importance of setting milestones upfront and how it helps to avoid micromanaging. Listen from 31:14 to 32:31. https://open.spotify.com/episode/54DFWeThbaN0ot4uK7r8od
