Imagine you're in line ready to order, then the cashier gives you a fast "excuse me" and asks the person behind you if they'd like the usual. How would that make you feel? The chances of a new customer returning to a business after a bad experience are really slim. Not treating them as well, or even better, as your regular customers can lead them to make that decision.
