Why?
#14 Deliver Results.
This principle tells us that, to deliver good results we must focus on the input. That is, if you focus on improving your product in order to make it more efficient and reduce costs, it might bring the expected results that you wish to deliver. Additionally, it is vital to "under-promise and over-deliver". By doing so, you are likely to exceed customers’ expectations.
Further, you might want to know what your competitors are doing, but your attention must be directed to your customers and your product.
Focus on the inputs, not the outputs.
○ How can what you do overcome expectations? What are the flaws that still need work?
Focus on the customer and go back from there.
○ What does the customer need? How can you provide that meeting high-standards of quality?
Listen to Eugene Choi, who spent 7 years working at Amazon, sharing how 'Deliver Results' focused on inputs works.
Listen from 5:45 to 8:20.
