Why?

The easiest way to improve accountability in the workplace is when you hold yourself accountable and become a pacesetter for your team. If you show up late for meetings, miss deadlines, don't give your best to support your team, then you're not even close to setting a good example of accountability for the rest of the organization. When leaders set a standard for what is expected, they provide their teams with a clear example of what work should be like. As a leader, you should inspire others by demonstrating: ✓Reliability - show you can be trusted in terms of achievement, commitment, accuracy, and honesty. ✓Discipline - focus and don’t let competing priorities hold ongoing projects back. ✓Integrity - be frank about the delivery of tasks and projects and apologize when things don’t turn out as expected ✓Execution - develop new skills and behavior patterns so as to enhance performance.
