Why?

Some Deaf or hard-of-hearing people may have American Sign Language (ASL) as their first language and may not be fluent in English. That's why written communication might not work with them at all! For this reason, you should never start a conversation with a person with a hearing impairment with a written message. Let them tell you how they'd rather communicate, and you'll have a way better interaction! Photo by cottonbro from Pexels
