Constraints foster resourcefulness and inventiveness. Whenever you work with limited resources, you are bound to expand your reach and quality through out-of-the-box thinking. To illustrate that, consider the 2-pizza team rule widely used at Amazon. In short, teams should be no larger than the number of people that could adequately eat two large pizzas. On top of that, their projects have to be self-funding which means the team’s work has to pay for itself. Put simply, the goal is to achieve more with less (i.e., fewer people and less funding).
