Not really! You can still keep an unrelated personal item that makes you happy, or as Marie Kondo always says, that sparks joy. Then, after adding this one thing, you can move the other items of your workspace. Marie says she usually keeps a crystal or small vase with flowers. I keep a picture of a loved person.
