Why?

It is not advisable to weigh different products together, their prices are likely to be different and customers might not be inclined to pay the wrong price. If the customer is taking packaged produce, then you won't need to weigh them. You simply scan the barcode on the package. Whereas most loose products should be weighed after you enter their code on the system. ▷ Put the items on the scale. ▷ Type item lookup key. ▷ Touch the picklist or product key. ▷ Select the item.

Some stores register the items with a set of codes. It is usually best to keep a copy of this list with you.
