Why?

Always record the times you learned the information, write your report in chronological order, and never guess or estimate when things happened; keep your timeline as specific as possible. Also, unless instructed otherwise by your company, use the military time to eliminate confusion with the time frame. Don't use the word 'approximately'; this way, you avoid being questioned about the report's accuracy.
