Question 10 of 17
Career development

The incident report has to be simple.
Why?
It's essential to keep the report simple, so the reader doesn't get lost or confused when reading. Walk them through the entire incident. Start by painting the picture, let the reader know some crucial facts, such as who and where the security guard was and what they were doing when they first learned of the incident.
You can divide your report into sections or paragraphs to make it easier:
• 1 - Your standard intro;
• 2 - Describe what you heard, saw, smelled, etc.;
• 3 - Your first contact with the scene of the incident, people involved, or any other important information;
• 4 - Your response, how you acted when facing the situation;
• 5 - A good ending: explain how the situation was resolved and give a reasonable conclusion to your report.
