Dr. Dalton-Smith explains that being creative is innate to everyone, even if people don't usually consider processing information, answering people's questions, and doing different types of innovative work as creative thinking. She says that every time you come up with new ideas or solutions to problems, you're using creative energy.
And by being aware of that, it's important that you make an effort to get creative rest. It can be by getting outside and into nature, listening to music, watching art, or watching someone dance. How you appreciate beauty and allow it to bring back your inspiration is what really matters.
Listen from 19:00 to 19:46 to be given more examples of the concept of creative rest by Dr. Saundra Dalton-Smith in The Do Gooders podcast.
