There is no room for feeling egocentrism, for that reason they should not be embarrassed about their flaws and mistakes. Coming clean about their imperfections vouches for transparency and builds trust. Besides, it is of utmost importance to create an environment in which people are allowed to speak freely about their own shortcomings and errors!
