You’ve crafted a return policy, and your customers are familiar with it but don’t forget to make it clear for your employees. They’re the ones that will have to deal with these customer service issues. Train your employees to process returns. Make time to gather with them and go over the rules and regulations, ensuring they know that the policy goes beyond its simple letter. Make sure your employees know they’re allowed to make exceptions or soften circumstances within very specific limits if that’s necessary to offer your customers fair treatment. Also, be open to discuss cases with your team if they feel the standard policy isn’t good for a particular customer. By doing so, you’ll make it much more likely that the customer will return.
