Why?

No, we are not, but we can choose how we react to situations. If somebody says something we don’t like, they are not responsible about how we will feel, but we really can choose the way we are going to respond and then have or not have Nonviolent Communication. The best we can do is use empathy, trying to understand what they are going through. This way, we choose the right words for our speech. If both do it, they will talk and get to a common need with no violence.
