Why?

First of all, it is essential to realize what’s going on, so you can see what you like or don’t. After that, you need to check your feelings and name them, like anger, happiness, sorrow, among others. Marshall says sometimes we can be vulnerable to solve conflicts and know the difference between what we feel and what we think of it. The next step is to check the needs of the feeling because by sharing your needs, you can give solutions to solve your feelings. And the last one is asking something specific, something concrete, don’t say vague or ambiguous phrases, try to be affirmative. This way, we increase the chance of having our problems solved. Maria Engels talks a little bit more about the steps in the video below (9:10 to 10:45): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZM6ZLWm2eA
