Why?

Part of the reason why we take notes is to avoid plagiarism, but how does it do that? Well when information changes form, learning occurs. So, when you take a note and change the words, and order, you are processing the information and learning from it. The information will change twice before the final report, and so it is unlikely that you will plagiarize. Notetaking is the gateway to information ownership.
