What are the early symptoms of dandruff?

An itchy scalp is the most common symptom of dandruff. The itching is caused by dead skin cells from the scalp. This symptom is more common in Winters. Loosing more than 100 strands of hair per day is abnormal and cause for concern. It could be a symptom of an unaddressed dandruff condition. Dandruff has the tendency to remove the scalp oils, leaving the hair dry and dull. A sudden eruption of pimples or acne can be another serious symptom of dandruff. Such outbreaks have a reddish appearance and can be painful.
