Why?
Being detail-oriented is more than just being able to describe an event or what a person was wearing!
Professionalism involves being alert and paying attention to your surroundings at all times. In order to accomplish that, you have to use your senses to spot any sign of trouble.
➜ Smells
E.g., smoke or gas, identifying the direction it is coming from might help alert the authorities quickly.
➜ Sounds
E.g., night shifters might keep ears open for any suspicious sounds.
➜ Sight
E.g., a bundled-up person on a hot day should have your attention.
The ability to be alert and aware of your surroundings will skyrocket your chances for success and promotion!
