Why?

To research is to use a system where you find information first and take notes, then evaluate it to make sure that the source is a credible (reliable) one. After that you'll have to analyze all of the information you've gathered and draw your own conclusions. Maybe you are researching to solve a problem, or to sell an idea to your boss. No matter why you are researching, you should always use a system of gathering information, evaluate the sources, analyzing and drawing conclusions. In order to do this effectively, you will need to know how to take proper notes, and how to communicate what you've discovered to others.
