What is a form of scaffolding?

Worksheets are a form of scaffolding as they aid the child with prompts. Although playtime is an important part of a child’s learning, it is not a form of scaffolding but rather social interaction. Imagine a colouring book, it has guidelines and shows you where to colour in, without the guidelines you wouldn’t be able to reach the end goal of what you are trying to portray and it would take you a longer time. Therefore, scaffolding ensures that the child is thinking of the correct ideas to aid them onto the right answer.
