What is ‘emotion’?

According to Google Dictionary, Emotion is a natural instinctive state of mind deriving from one's circumstances, mood, or relationships with others. So even though we have specific examples of emotions in two of the options above, only in option A we have a meaning that relates to the definition of the word; So, what are the emotions involved when talking to customers?
