Why?

First of all, what you need to do in order to be a geriatric nurse is to become a registered nurse, which you can do by getting a Bachelor’s Degree in Science (B.Sc.). The NurseJournal (link below) points out that you need to pass the NCLEX-RN (National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses) before you can begin practice. After that, you can start working on getting your certification in gerontology and even a master’s degree. https://nursejournal.org/careers/geriatric-nurse/salary/ Photo by Susan Weber on Unsplash
