Why?

Having new customers is always an outstanding achievement, but having loyal ones who regularly come back to the company is even better! The loyal customer is the one that has a high potential for sales, as they are used to buying the products and will make a difference on the numbers. A relationship between the customer and a salesperson is beneficial because you know they will return and rebuy your products. As a sales manager, be careful in upsizing. When you split the sales team and send them to other places, it may sometimes help get more loyal customers, but the company may lose some clients. Source: Harvard Business Review
