Why?

#13 Have backbone. Disagree and Commit. When the company nurtures an environment in which everyone is allowed to voice their opinions, naturally, people are going to disagree with each other, and that’s beneficial as long as it is done respectfully. Jeff Wilke, former Amazon executive, was not entirely on board with the idea of Kindle. He believed it would be costly and diverged from the roots of the company in the software business. Yet, he had to "disagree and commit". Amazon encourages the staff members to question plans with backbone and conviction. However, once a decision is made, everyone has to commit to it.
